This was the second year of this program that is here to stay each and every summer. This year we enhanced the program with the one day per week “Kindergarten Kickers”.             The Summer Program is BACK for 2008!

The Training Program is BACK on Monday and Wednesday evenings… With separate sessions for recreation and travel players geared toward their ability level and will include both technical and tactical sessions. Age eligibility for the summer training program is 8 – 17 for Boys and Girls.

The Popular Fun Fours are BACK on Tuesday and Thursday evenings… The Fun Fours are a 4 v 4 format (four players a side, no goalkeepers) pick up style series of matches. Teams will be formed each day of Fun Fours by our Club Director and his staff based on age, ability level and gender. This is a “player’s league”, NO COACHES! Teams will be self-functional once separated into groups to allow players the opportunity to express their individual talents and use improvisation without being directed or corrected by a coach while they play. While teams will not be coached they will be directly supervised at all times by the Lynchburg United Soccer Club Director and his staff. Matches are 24 minutes long, and all players will typically play 3 matches per night. Players from all levels in age groups U10 through U18 are eligible and strongly encouraged to participate.

NEW for 2008 – Kindergarten Kickers/Micro Soccer: We have also added a Micro-Soccer Program for U6 & U8 Players called Kindergarten Kickers that will be held one day per week (Monday’s) from 6 – 7 PM. Age eligibility for this program is 4 ½ to 7 years old.

Cost: The cost for the Summer Soccer Program is very minimal as follows:

Fun Fours: Get All 8 Fun Four Sessions for $30.00 – or – Pay Per Session $10.00

Training Program: Get All 8 Training Sessions for $30.00 – or – Pay Per Session $10.00

Kindergarten Kickers (Micro Soccer): Get All 4 Sessions for $20.00 – or – Pay Per Session $10.00

Important Note: These Programs are open to everyone. You DO NOT have to be a member of of Lynchburg United to register!

Summer Program Schedule: The Summer Program will once again be a 4 Week Program that will begin on Monday, June 23, 2008. And will be held at the Lynchburg Regional Soccer Complex. There will be a one-week break in the program between the first and second week (for the week of the fourth of July / from June 30 – July 6). The Program will then resume on Monday, July 7, 2008.

The exact dates/weeks of the Program (that runs Monday – Thursday) is as follows for 2008:
